By bus and train to the national park

By bus and train environmentally friendly to the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park? No problem! The train stations Idar-Oberstein, Trier, Wittlich, Türkismühle, and Neubrücke are your entry points.

From there, various bus lines take you directly to the national park gates:

  • The Hochwald Express Bus Line 800 takes you from Trier to the Erbeskopf gate,
  • the Line 840 brings you from Idar-Oberstein to the Wildenburg gate,
  • the National Park Bus Line 890 connects Neubrücke with Birkenfeld, the Erbeskopf gate, and the Wildenburg gate as well as Rhaunen,
  • and with Line R20, you can get from Hermeskeil and Türkismühle to the Keltenpark gate.
