The ranger tours take you to special places in the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. They start, for example, at the National Park Gate Keltenpark Otzenhausen, at the National Park Gate Wildenburg near Kempfeld, or at the National Park Gate Erbeskopf. Along the way, you will learn interesting facts about the natural processes in the "forest of tomorrow", the difference between managed forests and natural forests, as well as exciting backgrounds about the landscape and history of the region.
The tours are usually between 4.5 and 6 kilometers long, last about 3 to 3.5 hours, and are classified as moderately difficult. Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.
