The Nahesteig is a nature-oriented hiking trail in the Hunsrück-Nahe hiking region. Along the Upper Nahe, the path leads through a diverse landscape of striking rocks, wooded ridges, and tranquil river passages.
Narrow paths by the water alternate with steep ascents to scenic heights. From the rocks, impressive views open up over the Nahe Valley and the surrounding landscapes.
The young Nahe has shaped an impressive rocky landscape here. Steep rock walls, narrow forest paths, and wide vistas characterize the nature of this hiking trail. In some places, ropes assist in the ascent and descent, which is why the Nahesteig is rated as moderately difficult to challenging in some sections.
Thanks to several train stations along the route, the Nahesteig can be planned flexibly, either as a complete hike or in individual stages.
