Additional information

We start at the hiking parking lot 'Alte Schule' in Gonzerath. The varied family tour takes us up a serpentine path to Schackberg. From there, we have a great view of the village of Gonzerath. We walk along a meadow path until we reach the intersection of the tar road. There, we turn left. We follow the signs uphill to the so-called 'Wederather Kreuz'. After that, we stroll down a meadow path until we reach kilometer 2. Now we turn left and walk uphill to the panorama swing where we can enjoy the beautiful view.

Crossing a small wooden bridge, we go right to the animal long jump. We walk along the forest path until we come to a large intersection. There are the wooden xylophone and the rope bridge. We continue along the forest path and cross another small bridge. A short stretch along a paved path leads us left into a small grove with a milk hut and insect hotel. To conclude the hike, we arrive at the water playground with a wading pool.

In general, entering the forest and walking the hiking trails is at your own risk.

Depending on the season or weather conditions, increased sure-footedness is required on certain sections of the paths. Therefore, wear clothing and hiking shoes suitable for the season and weather.

Sturdy footwear (hiking shoes) is strongly recommended.
