Arrive... Take a deep breath... Relax.
Our farm was built in 1910, and we had the pleasure of taking over the house in 2020. Our stylishly furnished holiday apartment is located in the former machine house, where the equipment necessary for agriculture was once housed.
In our typical Trier cross-house (where living and working were once combined in one building), a modern and open living space has been created over 2 floors.
On the ground floor of the apartment, you will find the living kitchen and the bathroom. The open living area consists of a cozy sofa, which can also be used as a sleeping option.
The sleeping gallery (the nest) with a box spring bed is accessible via a free staircase in the open space.
Above all, the sustainable and ecological construction method is our driving force for everything we offer. Our house (built from rubble stones and clay) has been completely renovated and treated with lime plaster.
We also place the highest value on natural materials and plant diversity in the outdoor area. From your own terrace, you have a beautiful view of our largely nature-connected garden.
Artworks and found objects of all kinds give the accommodation a distinctive character with a high feel-good factor.
Just let yourself go with us. After extensive daytime activities, you can pamper yourself in our in-house cosmetic studio or be enchanted in our microbrewery with a beer culinary experience into the fine world of beer specialties.

Discover the three-country region (Germany, France, Luxembourg) with breathtaking natural scenery. Whether vineyards, the Moselle or Saar, the cities of Saarburg, Trier, Luxembourg, and Saarbrücken - everything is easily accessible and makes the location of our farm extremely attractive.
Moreover, we are located in a hiking and cycling paradise - as the beautiful mixed forests of the Schwarzwald Hochwald, which are crisscrossed by numerous well-developed paths, and the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig with its dream loops lie directly around our farm. The 13.4 km long Greimerath Heights Trail is, for example, one of a total of 114 dream loops, all of which have premium character and meet the highest hiking demands.
The hilly low mountain range landscape in which Greimerath is embedded is a true treasure for fans of all outdoor activities. For cycling enthusiasts, hikers, runners, mountain bikers, swimmers, canoeists, motorcyclists, and others, there are plenty of opportunities, as everything is easily accessible.
Additionally, we also rent a Vespa Sprint 50 for leisurely rides or exploration tours. With this, you can experience the charming surroundings in a unique way and reach, for example, the nearby bathing lake in Losheim (SUP boards can also be rented from us).
With farm No. 1 "Free as a Bird," we have created a place where peace, nature, art, and wellness wonderfully connect.
A favorite retreat for couples who appreciate the combination of actively exploring the regions of Hochwald, Saar, and Moselle, relaxing wellness offerings, and a particularly beautiful spot to unwind and breathe with a view of greenery.
