Organic meat, vegetarian and vegan, all homemade.
Even though we are an inn with our own butcher shop, or precisely because of that, we place great importance on really good meat from animal-friendly, species-appropriate, and organic farming from the region and also offer homemade vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Our philosophy:
"Better less meat, and if so, then good."
Experience the heart of the Hochwald at an altitude of 400-700 meters with irresistibly beautiful charm, lush nature, extensive forests, hidden lakes, moors, boardwalks, and several hundred kilometers of hiking trails. Anger, sorrow, and worries stay at home. Free from the annoying everyday life, you will find relaxation here. With the varied "Schillinger Panorama Trail", you will hike on one of 111 premium hiking trails in the region.
Schillingen, located in the Osburger Hochwald, between Mosel and Saar, offers very good climatic conditions, a heated outdoor pool in summer, and a short distance to the oldest city Trier, to Luxembourg, and the Middle Mosel. The cultural offerings are diverse.
After a breakfast table richly laid out to your taste, where you can create your own lunch package for your tour free of charge, you will head out into the nature of the Hochwald and its good air, well fortified.
In the evening, a rich menu awaits you with homemade vegetarian, vegan, and meat dishes from animals raised in a species-appropriate manner.
To these "Hochwald delicacies", we serve a good wine from Mosel, Saar, Ruwer, and a freshly tapped Trier Löwenbräu.
Lean back and look forward to lovingly prepared, homemade dishes without chemicals.
In our original sausage shop, you will find not only sausages and ham from our own production but also venison and wild boar, as well as a variety of regional products as souvenirs for you or your loved ones at home.
Your "four-legged friend" is also welcome here, and there is a washing facility in our house for him.
Free pick-up service for hikers.

Description of dog services:

• Allowed number of dogs: maximum 3
• Cost per dog/night: 10,-- € for the first night; each additional night 8,-- €
• Size of dogs: maximum shepherd dog size
• We have 2 rooms available for guests with dogs; dogs are allowed in the restaurant but should be dry and clean.
• Facilities for dogs: bowls, dried beef tendons as treats
• Washing facility for dogs in the basement
• Hiking trail nearby: Traumschleife Schillinger Panoramaweg and Traumschleife Hochwald-Acht
• By arrangement, we will pick you and your dog/dogs up from your hiking destination
• Owners are liable for their dogs (dog liability insurance)

Departure: 11:00 AM

Route: Highway A 1 to exit Reinsfeld; from here onto the Hunsrück Heights Road (B 407) towards Kell am See; pass through the village and turn right towards Trier, Pluwig. The next village is Schillingen. The guesthouse is located in the town center.

Your dog is welcome here. We charge 10,-- € for the first night, and 8,-- € for each additional night.
