Our holiday apartment "Heimelig" is located in the beautiful Hochwald village of Schillingen, surrounded by forests.
You can explore the wonderful surroundings on well-marked hiking trails, dream loops (Schillinger Panorama Trail), and cycling paths.
The holiday apartment is close to the Schillingen leisure center with a lake (also for fishing), a restaurant with a children's playground, a nature trail, a tree maze, and a barefoot path. The observation tower "Sieben-Köpfe-Blick" is also on the way there. A public swimming pool can also be found in the vicinity.
Schillingen is about 36 km from the Luxembourg border, and Trier (Germany's oldest city with the UNESCO World Heritage site Porta Nigra) on the Moselle can be reached after about 23 km of driving. Excursions to Saarburg (with waterfall) or to the Saarschleife near Mettlach are also very worthwhile. The nearby Kell am See (about 4 km) is also worth a visit.
The village of Schillingen has a bakery, a fresh market, a sausage shop, and a restaurant.
Of course, there are parking options for your car in front of the house. Bicycles can also be stored in the garage upon request.
The price for the holiday apartment is € 70,--/day/unit for up to 2 persons (including electricity/water and final cleaning). Each additional person (up to a maximum of 4 persons) costs an extra € 20,--.
