The Erbeskopf is just a 5-minute drive away, here it is peak season in summer and winter, known through press and TV.
Other excursion destinations are also recommended: e.g. the Moselle with historic old towns, Trier - the oldest city in Germany, or the neighboring country Luxembourg for shopping for cheap tobacco products, coffee, or just to drive over for refueling - all reachable within 30 minutes by car (motorway connection A1 - 17 kilometers)
If you want to go to the neighboring Saarland? - No problem, e.g. Bostalsee or Losheimer Stausee, all reachable within 45 minutes by car.
Of course, you can order breakfast and other culinary snacks on site, and the barbecue hut with wood grill is available to you.
