Surroundings
Our wine-growing community with 1000 inhabitants is located in the Gräfenbachtal, nestled in the Soonwald-Nahe Nature Park, about 10 km from the spa towns of Bad Kreuznach and Bad Münster.
Short paths lead to the Rhine to the city of the holy Hildegard of Bingen, the internationally renowned Drosselgasse in Rüdesheim, or upstream along the popular Barefoot Path in Bad Sobernheim or to Idar-Oberstein.
Leisure Activities
The area “Rhein-Nahe-Hunsrück” offers you many opportunities for leisure activities.
Right on site, the Gutenburgweg invites you to hike around the over 800-year-old Gutenburg.
Hiking enthusiasts will find well-marked circular hiking trails in the surrounding towns. We recommend the cycling route “Ellerbachtal-Gräfenbachtal” that runs through the village for cyclists.
Historically interested visitors will find many noteworthy castles and palaces here in the Rhein-Nahe corner.
We would be happy to arrange a wine tasting at a typical winery in the region. Guided tours on selected hiking trails are also possible.
