Regarding the cancellation policy:
Up to 10 days before arrival, you can cancel free of charge.
After that, we charge 80% of the room price, provided we cannot re-rent the room.
In case of cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show, we will charge you the full room price.

Take the A61 exit Emmelshausen. From there, drive to Gondershausen. Just before leaving the village, turn left into Waldstraße and follow our signs.
Restaurant opening hours:
Mill Breakfast: 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (reservation required)
Lunch Feast: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Snack Time: 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM
Dinner Feast: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (if we do not have reservations for 8:00 PM,
our mill kitchen closes at 8:30 PM)
Rest Days:
Monday and Tuesday are our rest days. However, we are available for hotel guests on these two days from 3:00 PM, and our kitchen team prepares meals from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

For over 450 years, the mill has been a place of arrival. As a family-run hotel in the Hunsrück, it has been lovingly developed for decades – today by the youngest generation of hostess Natascha Sander together with her team. History, tranquility, and contemporary comfort naturally intertwine here – without losing the character of the house.
Whether hiking in the Hunsrück on the dream loops around the Baybach Gorge, enjoying regional cuisine in our restaurant in the Baybach Valley, or in quiet moments in the garden – the Schmausemühle invites you to consciously experience the day.

Our mill has 18 individually furnished rooms, including two with triple bed options and two that can be used as family rooms. Single use available upon request. In seven rooms, your dog is allowed to accompany you.
In addition to overnight stays/breakfast, we also offer a range of varied package deals at attractive prices. After a restful night in the beautiful forest tranquility, we pamper our guests with our delicious mill breakfast. After all, we want you to feel comfortable!
