Dream Loop Young Forest

From the parking lot at the Buch sports field, we begin the entertaining discovery tour on the Traumschleifchen "Junge Wald". Passing the Old Water House, from which we can enjoy wide views over the Hunsrück heights towards the Moselle valley and into the Eifel, we reach the first signpost at the tripoint of the loop. Since the preferred direction is clockwise, we head straight towards the field path. We then walk initially on wide paths with some changes in direction through the open fields. These are marked by marking posts and ground markings.

At an information board on the topic of agriculture, we reach the edge of the forest and soon we are allowed to dive into the dim green for the first time on a winding path. After a break in a small shelter, we shortly afterwards reach the edge of the forest, where we can see Bell and face a sporting challenge: at a jumping pit, we can compete with the performances of the forest animals. After that, we fully dedicate ourselves to the pleasure of forest hiking and gain great insights into the multi-layered forest, where young trees fight for light in the shadow of the "Great Ones". A little later, we feel somehow watched, and indeed, isn't there a deer? Only upon a second glance does it become clear: they are deceptively real figures observing the hikers ...

Finally, the Traumschleifchen leaves the forest and leads us to a swaying wild herb meadow. Here, a bee observation box provides insight into the fascinating world of bees, while hikers can take a break at the resting place. The route then gently descends and runs relaxed again between the forest edge and fields.

After passing the lowest point of the tour with another resting place, we can leisurely gain height again on a path through the forest. Touch boxes challenge the sense of touch on this part of the route. A few bends later, a clearing opens up where numerous young trees reach for the sun: this is the family forest, at the edge of which another resting place invites you to linger. Shortly thereafter, the idyllic biotope provides an attractive change, and with a bit of luck, we can watch the dragonflies perform their acrobatics. At ant hills, the Traumschleifchen turns back onto a forest path that winds through the dense forest. Suddenly, we reach the edge of the forest and are overwhelmed by the magnificent panoramic view of the Hunsrück. Fortunately, there is also a bench here to enjoy the view!

We briefly follow the edge of the forest, then we dive back under the leafy canopy at a stone table and indulge in path hiking once again. But finally, it is time to say goodbye to the forest and stroll along a farm road to the outskirts of Buch. There, the balancing station offers one last tricky challenge before we cross the bike path through open meadows, head towards the sports field, and then reach the signpost at the tripoint again. A few steps later, this eventful hike ends at the parking lot.

Sturdy footwear (hiking boots) is strongly recommended.
