Day of the Open Monuments Monastery Church Sponheim

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the Friends of the Monastery Church Sponheim e.V. invite you to the traditional Harvest Festival in the Monastery Courtyard . Doors open and invite you to discover the significant cultural monument and its history.
The Harvest Festival begins on Saturday at 5 PM in the Monastery Courtyard Sponheim. In the shade of the Monastery Church, visitors can expect a sociable evening with culinary offerings from the monastery kitchen, a selection of Sponheim wines, and live music. The Harvest Festival has now become a tradition and offers the opportunity to come together in a special atmosphere, to enjoy, and to engage in conversation. The duo ,,2 Voices and 1 Piano‘‘ will entertain with live music. At 5:30 PM, a monastery tour will take place. At 8:30 PM, Hildegard and Trithemius will guide through the candlelit Monastery Church.
On Sunday, the historical significance of the Monastery Church will be the focus. On the following Sunday, September 13, 2026, the Monastery Church will open as part of the Day of the Open Monuments. This day offers the opportunity to learn more about the impressive building and the history of the former monastery. The Monastery Church Sponheim is considered one of the most significant cultural monuments of the Nahe region. From 1:00 PM, the Sponheim Music Association will play.
