The Old Stromburg (Castle Pfarrköpfchen), the Stromburg in the 11th / 12th century!
Until the excavations in the 1980s by the Archaeological Monument Preservation, the castle complex on the Pfarrköpfchen at the edge of the old town of Stromberg was completely unknown. Without later modifications and reconstructions, a Salian period castle complex has been preserved, which can be equated with the Stromburg mentioned in the documents of the 11th and 12th centuries.
2026 is a special year, as we castle patrons can look back on 20 years of castle sponsorship. We want to celebrate our anniversary as castle patrons with a small festivity during a guided tour.
