On May 2, 2027, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, it’s time for the “Let’s go to the Kirner Beer and Backes Hike”
The Kirner Beer and Backes Hike has been a popular event for young and old for years. Whether with family or friends, out in nature, enjoying a specialty from the Backes along with a full-bodied Kirner beer – fun and good mood are guaranteed.
On a roughly 12 km moderately difficult circular route, the hike passes three Backhouses: in Hennweiler at the corner of Danziger Straße/Hauptstraße, in Hahnenbach at the Old Town Hall, and in Oberhausen at the Multi-Generational Square.
At the stations, you can try a specialty from the Backes. The Kirner Private Brewery recommends a suitable beer variety that highlights the flavor of the dish. Beers from the Kirner Private Brewery's selection, as well as non-alcoholic beverages, will be offered for consumption at the stations. Along the way, you can also purchase a suitable souvenir of the tour at the Kirner Private Brewery stand.
Parking is available in Hahnenbach at the sports field and at the Old Town Hall, in Hennweiler at the community center Old School. From there, there is direct access to the circular hiking trail. Additional parking is available at the Sports Field in Oberhausen (about 600 m to the circular hiking trail) and in Kirn-Kallenfels at the Turnerheim (about 1 km to the circular hiking trail).
A shuttle service will be set up from the train station in Kirn, bringing hikers to Hahnenbach and back.
The buses run between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
