Martini Market Herrstein 2026

The traditional flea market in the historic town center of Herrstein is one of the oldest markets in the region. The Martini Market was first held in Herrstein in 1428. At that time, country dwellers from near and far gathered to do their shopping at the many market stalls and to stock up on goods that were not available in the villages. Just like in the past, there is also today a large flea market with a pre-Christmas atmosphere in the narrow streets of the historic town center of Herrstein, featuring over 80 market stalls and a variety of offerings. A wide selection of Hunsrück specialties such as Wellfleisch, potato sausage, and liver dumplings, Martin's pretzels for children, mulled wine, and many other treats leave no wishes unfulfilled. In the bakery, the Herrstein farmer's bread is baked and sold. On Saturday evening, a colorful entertainment program takes place around the Rodesplatz and the barn in Hunsrück. This evening is rounded off with a fireworks display high above the castle and the Schinderhannes tower. The Martini Market concludes on Sunday with a large Martin's parade. It leads along the main street to the market and is accompanied by over 300 children, the youth brass band, and St. Martin on horseback. Herrstein warmly welcomes you!
