Nikolaus Market - Christmas Market at the Historical Eiermarkt

The Egg Market and the St. Nicholas Church are the center of the medieval town. Here, the historical townscape has been preserved. Around the St. Nicholas Church and on the marketplace lined with centuries-old half-timbered houses, the Christmas market village invites visitors to linger. The traditional Advent market around the St. Nicholas Church (the oldest sacred building in Bad Kreuznach) offers numerous sales and food stalls in a festive atmosphere. Among them are arts and crafts and gift items of various kinds. A highlight – not only for our young visitors – is the large Christmas nativity scene. Numerous activities for children take place in the Christmas tent on Poststraße (next to the children's carousel). Daily puppet theater performances with fairy tale plays are held. In the St. Nicholas Church, devotions and meditations with music prepare for the celebration of the birth of Christ. For the residents of Bad Kreuznach, strolling through the market and meeting friends over a glass of mulled wine is a must.
