The photo workshop at the Regional Museum "Goldener Engel" in Baumholder is aimed at everyone interested in macro photography. On Saturday, November 14, 2026, the workshop will start at 9:30 AM and last about three hours. If the weather is good and there is interest, a small outdoor round at the pond is possible afterwards.
Workshop leader Christian Dübbers will first convey the theoretical foundations of macro photography, including aperture, exposure, and the use of various lenses. Participants will then have the opportunity to photograph the museum's exhibits, supported by personal tips and advice. Additionally, there is the possibility to conduct practical exercises in a mini photo studio with professional lighting.
Participants should bring a camera with a macro lens or a lens with a short minimum focusing distance. A tripod is recommended, and a rental tripod is available. Alternatively, a smartphone can also be used.
The number of participants is limited to eight people, and at least two people must register.
The participation fee is €29 per person and is to be paid in cash on site.
Registrations are possible until November 11, 2026.
The workshop offers a practical opportunity to deepen the techniques of macro photography and to create creative shots both in the museum and outdoors in good weather.
