The most beautiful half-timbered house on the Nahe. Built in 1589 by mayor Matthias Knorr, a wealthy butcher or stonemason. (Occupational symbols above a door lintel). Richly decorated house with vaulted cellar, solid ground floor, and stone stair tower. A gate extension was added in 1658. Inhabited by 2 families in 1820/30, hence 2 entrances.
