Catholic Church St. Erasmus

The Catholic Church was built in 1710 after the Reformation.

After the Reformation, the Catholic Church was taken over by the Protestants, which led to the establishment of a provisional chapel in Rheinböllen in 1710. It was not until 1870 to 72 that the current church was built according to designs by the district master builder Sasse from Simmern, in the three-nave neo-Gothic style. The local press praised the church in its report on the inauguration as a "magnificent building and adornment of the Hunsrück region."
