Diakonie Hospital Location Kirn The hospital in Kirn was established by the city in 1911 and operated as a municipal hospital until 1991. From that point on, it came under the sponsorship of the Kreuznacher Diakonie. The Diakonie Hospital is now a part of the Kreuznacher Diakonie Foundation. On January 1, 2002, the two hospitals 'Diakonie Hospital Bad Kreuznach' and 'Diakonie Hospital City Kirn' merged into one Diakonie Hospital Kreuznacher Diakonie with locations in Bad Kreuznach and Kirn. It is a specialized care hospital with 511 beds, 14 specialized departments, including 11 main and 3 secondary departments with various focuses and specializations. It operates a training center for health and nursing professions and offers various specialized training programs in collaboration with the Academy for Professions in Social and Health Services Kreuznacher Diakonie.
