The Edgar Reitz Film House has been located since 2022 in the oldest part of the city, about a 10-minute walk from the Hunsrück Museum, and revolves around Edgar Reitz and his films.
Until September 7, 2025, the exhibition for the film "Die andere Heimat" is installed. This will be followed by the exhibition "Heimat 2.0", which addresses the modern Heimat film starting from Reitz. Additionally, from July 6, the special exhibition "40 Years Pro-Winzkino Simmern" will be on display in the gallery.
