The Erbeskopfturm is an 11 m high observation tower on the Erbeskopf, the highest mountain in the Hunsrück, in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich and in Rhineland-Palatinate, as well as the highest German elevation on the left bank of the Rhine. The tower is located in the midst of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park and the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park.
The Erbeskopfturm is situated in the southwest of the Idarwald on the Erbeskopf, which lies in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park, about 150 m southwest of the mountain peak. It is located in the area of the local community of Hilscheid, which is about 6 km west and also in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich.
The view from the Erbeskopfturm includes the summit area with the sculptures Windklang and Gipfelköpfe der Region installed there in 2011. The long-distance view is restricted by trees. On clear days, distant views to the north towards parts of the Eifel are possible.
