Evangelical Church Baumholder

Simple Baroque hall church with a late Gothic tower and remarkable stained glass windows

A simple Baroque hall church located in the midst of the former churchyard. The nave was added to the late Gothic tower between 1748 and 1750. The founder was the territorial lord Duke Christian IV of Zweibrücken. The interior, a result of renovation work in the 1950s, is modern, and in the 1980s, it was adorned with remarkable stained glass windows. The tower houses three bells: a small one from around 1340, a large one from 1499, and a new bell from 1953.
