Forest Experience Trail Zerf

After extensive modernization measures, the Forest Experience Trail was reopened in May 2025.
The modernization of the Forest Experience Trail was made possible by the support of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park.

Silas, a forest friend, and Karo, a child of the deer family, accompany the large and small visitors on their way through the course. 
Take your time and immerse yourself in the fascinating realm of trees, plants, fungi, and forest dwellers.

Here, everything revolves around discovering, experiencing, and learning.
For we are in the largest oxygen factory and oasis of relaxation in the world - the forest.
How can we perceive it and how can we find relaxation in it?
What forest dwellers inhabit the forest and why is it a basis of life for countless animal and plant species and not least for us humans?
These and many other questions revolve around the ten stations of the trail. 
In the eastern part, you have the chance to get to know the habitat of the forest as a nature-oriented experience space with all your senses. 
In contrast, the stations in the western part address current topics and have a more informative character.
