The Frauenburg in the municipality of Frauenberg is a castle complex built in the 13th century and is the cultural highlight of the municipality of Frauenberg. It is a station on the hiking trail Traumschleife Gräfin Loretta.
Leave Baumholder via L 169 towards Idar-Oberstein. Turn right at the traffic light towards Idar-Oberstein. At the next intersection, turn right onto L 176 towards Idar-Oberstein. You will pass Reichenbach. Then Frauenberg will be on your right. Turn right and then immediately right again towards Sonnenberg-Winnenberg. Shortly thereafter, turn left at the old inn Burgschänke into Bahnhofstraße. The hiking parking lot is about 100 m on the left side. The parking lot is marked for the Traumschleife Gräfin Loretta.
Coming from Idar-Oberstein, follow L176 towards Baumholder until the turnoff left to Frauenberg/Sonnenberg-Winnenberg. Turn right again towards Sonnenberg-Winnenberg. Before the Nahe bridge, turn left again at the old inn Burgschänke into Bahnhofstraße. The hiking parking lot is about 100 m on the left side.
