Glider Airfield

This song by composer and musician Reinhard May is certainly seen by many people who are fond of aviation as a confirmation of their actions. When gliders draw their circles in the Keller sky today, many an observer is likely overcome by the wishful thinking of doing the same and escaping the worries of everyday life with each circle in the sky. There can hardly be better conditions anywhere. With regard to thermal properties, our airfield is ideally located. In the middle of the "Schwarzwälder Hochwald", it offers connections to the "Thermal Race Track" Hunsrück due to its altitude of 560 m above sea level. Long-distance flights over 500 km are not uncommon.
