Heimatmuseum Mittelstrimmig
This museum provides an impressive overview of the life and work of the Hunsrück population from Roman times to the present. Dominated by an intact mill complex, numerous finds from the Roman settlement are presented here. A variety of original items from later times give visitors a cross-section of the not always easy life of the Hunsrück inhabitants. Slate mining, flax cultivation, linen production, the individual stages of wood processing, numerous agricultural tools, and even "Grandmother's Hunsrück kitchen" have all been lovingly assembled and carefully documented in this museum, so that visitors can vividly understand the peculiarities and characteristics, culture, and traditions of the Hunsrück region.

Dogs on a leash are allowed in the Heimatmuseum.
