The former house of the Locher family, built by Friedrich Wilhelm Röder in 1861, which was acquired by the local community of Thalfang in 1988, is geographically located approximately in the center of the village on Saarstraße.
After extensive renovation/restoration work in 1993/94, it was inaugurated on April 30, 1994, and put into use.
It houses:
- the municipal administration with the office of the local mayor
- the post agency operated by the local community
- the tourist information
- the association's library with a reading room
- a hall that can be used for meetings or cultural or private celebrations.
