Hunsrück-Mosel Cycle Path

As part of the EU funding LEADER +, the Hunsrück-Mosel Cycle Path was created as an interesting connection from the Mosel to the front Hunsrück.
The cycle path runs from the Mosel to Kastellaun on little-used roads and farm tracks. The stretch from Lütz to Lieg and before Kastellaun has an incline of about 7%.
A few kilometers inland from the Mosel, the bike tour leads along slate heaps and idyllic streams. Through the villages of Lütz, Lieg, Lahr, and Zilshausen, one reaches the heights of the front Hunsrück.
The information boards in Lütz and Lieg provide information about a large number of rare animals and plants that are native to this area.
From Kastellaun, the Schinderhannes Cycle Path offers cycling pleasure for young and old on a total of 38 km from Emmelshausen to Simmern along the former Hunsrück railway line.
