Arrived at the old, factory founded in 1870, you are immediately transported back to long-gone times – and unexpectedly find yourself in the bloom of Art Deco and Jugendstil. The entire ambiance exudes the charm of this industrial historical peak. In the fashion industry metropolises, the name Bengel once enjoyed a legendary reputation with its outstanding costume jewelry collections. You may now admire the place of its origin: small technical marvels, tools, and machines.
The monument also features an exquisite permanent exhibition on the history and technology of costume jewelry and bijouterie manufacturing in Oberstein. In the associated "Villa Bengel," there are also permanent changing exhibitions on the theme of jewelry and bijouterie.

15.03. - 15.11.: Tue. to Sun. fixed guided tours at 10:00 AM, 11:15 AM, 1:15 PM, 2:30 PM, and 3:45 PM

The minimum size for visitor groups is 8 people. For organizational reasons, we charge a flat fee of €25.00 per group in addition to the entrance fee per person for special openings.
