The Meisenheim Beautification Association of 1878 built the footbridge in 1893 between Herrenschlag (Yellow House) and the valley. The construction was carried out in steel framework with cast iron posts on stone pillars. In 1998, thanks to state allocations, donations, and volunteer work, the footbridge was renewed.
