The Chapel of the Sorrowful Mother of God on the L211 was built in 1946. At the initiative of Peter Malmen, several families from Koblenz helped realize the construction out of gratitude for their salvation from great wartime distress. Local craft businesses implemented the construction on the property of the Ritt family. The Pieta is a work by Eugen Keller and was consecrated together with the chapel on June 29, 1946, by Dean Alles. It rests on a wooden pedestal, on which a poem is inscribed, bearing witness to the wartime distress during World War II from 1939 to 1945.
