Discover the historic town center of Kirn!
The marketplace, which has been the center of local and regional markets since the 12th century, now offers a diverse culinary selection for you. It is particularly suitable for day trips by bike or as a starting point for a hike.
From the marketplace, the premium hiking trail “Soonwaldsteig,” one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Germany, the wine hiking trail Rhein-Nahe, and the Hildegard von Bingen pilgrimage trail begin. Cyclists can reach the city center directly via the Nahe cycle path. In the immediate vicinity, there are several noteworthy and art-historically valuable buildings and monuments to explore, including the baroque town hall with a unique art gallery, as well as residential and commercial buildings from five centuries.
Just a few minutes on foot away is the recreational area Schülerkiesel with the successful model “Living by the River.” A lovingly designed recreational area with a Nahe beach, water playground, sunbathing lawns in the Nahe meadows, and numerous other play opportunities right by the river. Numerous seating areas invite you to experience and enjoy nature.
The city of Kirn offers many worthwhile experiences - we look forward to your visit!
