The exhibition "The Wittelsbachs" showcases their life and work in the Birkenfeld region since 1548. The Birkenfeld line eventually became part of the Bavarian royal house. A significant portion of the exhibition is dedicated to the Principality of Oldenburg. The affiliation with the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg (1817-1937) as a curiosity of history is thoroughly documented.
