Leichenpförtchen

Tower on the northern city wall in Baumholder.

Tower of the fortification built in the 16th century in the town of Baumholder. The name Leichenpförtchen comes from the fact that the dead from the villages located north of the city were brought through this gate to the cemetery until the beginning of the 20th century.
