The municipal library is located in the 'House of Encounter' in Thalfang. It offers you a selection of over 2,600 books and other media.
The children's book collection as well as the AV media (audio plays, videos, DVDs, CDs) are regularly exchanged with the district supplementary library in Wittlich and the state library office in Mainz. This ensures a constant update of the media. The collection is supplemented annually in all areas. In addition to fiction (novels), the book collection also includes non-fiction books in the fields of geography, history, political science, nutrition, wellness, health, sports and games, education, psychology, religion, and art.
Several times a year, book exhibitions on various topics take place.
In cooperation with the Thalfang adult education center, readings by well-known authors are held. Gudrun Pausewang and Tilman Röhrig are just a few of the authors who have found interested listeners in the 'House of Encounter'.
