Market Fountain "Rehrebore"

The fountain, built in 1840, stands in the Rheinböller marketplace - the historically most important point of the city. At the same time, the fountain is the landmark of the city. The pyramid-shaped sandstone column bears four coat of arms of the municipalities of the old administrative district. According to tradition, the water never ran dry, even in the driest years. As early as the 14th century, the spring capture established the water supply for the court building located in the town of the Electorate of the Palatinate.
