Museum of Prehistory and Early History Bretzenheim

Detail-oriented exhibition of excavation finds in the historic ensemble of wine and...

Join us on a mental journey into the past in the historic Bretzenheim on the Nahe. The small museum of prehistory and early history owes its existence to the tireless local historian and honorary citizen Hans Schneider. He found a passionate ally in the unfortunately prematurely deceased Walter Barth, who, as chairman of the initiative for cultural and local heritage preservation, was significantly involved in its implementation. Arno Koch, the current chairman, continued his work and was able to ceremoniously open the museum on Tuesday evening, September 29, 2015. You can see a small but very fine and valuable collection of excavation finds that showcase the prehistory and early history of Bretzenheim. The scientifically processed banners lovingly explain the traces of the past. An exhibition guide is currently in progress. The exhibition was financed by the cultural and local heritage initiative Bretzenheim under the scientific supervision of the General Directorate for Cultural Heritage Rhineland-Palatinate.
