Idyllically located in the forest near Selbach, the Nahe springs to life. Where the first drops flow from a rock formation, families, especially children, can experience great adventures on the 5.5-kilometer Nahe spring trail. There is plenty to offer on and beside the hiking path, whether it's swinging, balancing, climbing, or crawling; many activities are possible. Climbing houses, huts, and other nature-related equipment encourage engagement, and the lovingly designed adventure elements particularly spark the interest and curiosity of children.
Just a few meters from the start and end of the Nahe spring trail, donkeys, goats, wild sheep, deer, and a peacock await a visit, treats, and cuddles. On the accompanying bee educational trail, visitors can learn all sorts of interesting facts about these useful and industrious insects. To let off some steam afterward, the area features a new climbing and water playground, as well as four fitness stations.
However, it's not just about hiking; the Nahe spring is also the starting point for the popular Nahe bike path, which follows the course of the river – it's about 125 km to Bingen. Additionally, Nordic walking routes and other smaller hiking trails begin at the Nahe spring: a place of experience for the whole family that invites playing, experimenting, and learning in nature.
