The church in the national park is based on an ecumenical initiative of several Catholic and Protestant parishes, Catholic pastoral areas, and Protestant church districts. KiNa is supported by the pastoral area of Hermeskeil, the pastoral area of Idar-Oberstein, the pastoral area of Tholey, the Protestant church district of Trier, and the Protestant church district of Obere Nahe (Source: Kirche im Hochwald.de).
Combine a visit to the National Park Church with one of the two "Paths of Creation" that start directly at the church.
