Nature Experience Trail Castle Wartenstein

The Nature Experience Trail Castle Wartenstein is located in an approximately 150 ha large forest area around Castle Wartenstein. As a natural ecosystem, economic asset, and indispensable recreational space, the forest is a cultural asset that requires care and preservation.
Visitors receive knowledgeable information and the opportunity to discover nature's secrets while walking along the Nature Experience Trail. The educational trail demonstrates the importance and value of the forest in our natural landscape. Several stations along the Nature Experience Trail provide interesting insights into the astonishing diversity of the forest's fauna and flora, the economic use in the past and present, as well as the tasks of forestry.
The Nature Experience Trail Castle Wartenstein was created in 1998 by the Verbandsgemeinde Kirn-Land and the Friends of Castle Wartenstein as part of a job creation measure with financial support from the Kirner Privatbrauerei Ph. & A. Andres (Environmental Award on the occasion of the 200th brewery anniversary).
