Parish Church "St. Matthias" in Grenderich

Parish Church "St. Matthias" in Grenderich

The Grenderich church was built according to the plans of the district master builder Schmitt from Cochem from 1870 to 1872. The consecration of the church and the three bells took place by Dean Thiel on December 15, 1872.
Noteworthy is the high altar by the architect Reinhold Wirtz from Trier. The two side altars and the pulpit come from the workshop of the stonecutter Grethen from Merl.
In 1904, the church received an organ from the organ builder Stockhausen from Linz.
