The Bad Kreuznach Observatory, which usually invites visitors to observe the sun from Kuhberg, has established the Planet Path in the valley. The models of the sun and the planets form the individual stations of the hiking trail. The walk takes visitors from the sun to the dwarf planet Pluto. Over a distance of 5.9 kilometers, the sizes of the planets and the distances between them are arranged at a scale of 1:1 billion. Along the way, there are new discs that display the planets to scale with information on size, temperature, and orbit. This allows visitors to 'hike' the distances in the solar system and gain a sense of the distances between the planets. Additionally, detailed information is provided at each station along the path. The view of the charming, gently babbling Nahe River rounds off the tour.
