The multi-generational area is divided into several sections, so there is something for every age group. On one side, there is a section for the 'younger ones' with a slide, a small climbing tower, and a nest swing. For the older children, there is a higher climbing tower with swings, a slide, and a merry-go-round to test balance.

Located along the pond path, directly opposite the playground, is a petanque court, and a bit further towards the Westrichhalle is the newly opened outdoor gym with various fitness equipment and a pole dance pole sponsored by the pole dancers from Baumholder.

Not far from the playground, a pump track has also been created, inviting biking, scootering, inline skating, or skateboarding on a course.

Traveling by train:

You can reach Baumholder with the RB 34. Timetable information at: www.vlexx.de

From the train station, turn right onto Ringstraße. Cross the traffic light and continue straight on Ringstraße. At the roundabout, turn onto Weiherplatz. Here you will find the playground. It takes about 7 minutes to walk.

 

Driving by car:

You can reach Baumholder coming from Kusel via the L176. Turn left onto Ringstraße. At the roundabout, turn right onto Weiherplatz. At the end of Weiherplatz, you will see the portal to the Traumschleife Bärenbachpfad. 

Coming from the Freisen highway exit, you can reach Baumholder via the L 348. Follow the first entrance towards Baumholder. Turn right at the traffic light onto Ringstraße. At the roundabout, turn onto Weiherplatz. Here you will find ample parking as well as the playground.

Coming from Idar-Oberstein and Birkenfeld, you can reach Baumholder via the L 169. Turn right at the traffic light onto Aulenbacherstraße. This leads into Ringstraße. Continue straight at the next traffic light. At the roundabout, turn onto Weiherplatz. Here you will find ample parking as well as the playground.

 

Traveling by bicycle:

You can reach Baumholder via a signposted access path from the Burgen cycling route. The access path leads you to the city pond. Follow the circular path until you reach the pond forecourt. Here you will find the playground.
