Schessels-Beersche

"Schessels-Beersche" = Schüssel-Brünnlein It is suspected, at least as it is written in the Thörlingen...

"Schessels-Beersche" is mentioned in the chronicle of Thörlingen: Although there is no evidence for this, it is known from the traditions of our ancestors that there was an annual cattle market in Thörlingen around the turn of the century and probably even earlier. A proof for this could be provided by the Schüssel-Brünnlein (Schessels-Beersche). Schessels-Beersche is a water source located not far from the former cattle market meadow in the forest. It is situated below a forest path at a rock outcrop. A round depression has been carved into this rock by human hands, in the shape of a bowl, hence the name "Schessels-Beersche".

It is suspected, at least as it is written in the Thörlingen chronicle, that shepherds supplied themselves at this water source.
