The oldest part of the former Dhaun Castle was first mentioned in the 12th century. Since its founding, the castle has undergone 600 years of expansion and development. In the 16th century, under the reign of the Wild- and Rheingraf Carl, it was converted into a Baroque palace. Today, Schloss Dhaun hosts conferences and seminars in rooms equipped with the latest conference technology.
Every year on the second weekend in May, garden enthusiasts look forward to the Romantic Garden Festival in the castle garden. Selected exhibitors present everything related to the theme of gardens and lifestyle. Culinary delights, expert lectures, and a garden consultation round off the entertaining supporting program.
The castle grounds, with its underground passages and the 10,000 m² large castle park, can be visited daily. The view extends far over the Kellenbach Valley from here.
