The Simmersee offers you several opportunities to spend a beautiful day, where relaxation and fun are guaranteed. There are also provisions for hikers and walkers at Simmersee. Hiking trails around the area are available.
Simmersee is located in the side valley of the Simmerbach north of the town of Simmern/Hunsrück. It consists of two water bodies that differ in their characteristics and uses. The upper water body (depth: approx. 1.5 m) has a purely biotope character, while the lower water body (depth: approx. 4 m, length: approx. 60 x 150 m) is used for leisure and recreation.
Throughout the year, various events take place there.
Swimming and fishing are not permitted.
