When the first snowflakes fall from the sky and when Mother Holle drapes a white dress over the landscape, there is a special opportunity to hike through the dreamlike scenery around Hermeskeil in a unique way, especially on snowy winter days. The Tourist Information Hermeskeil offers 16 pairs of snowshoes with matching hiking poles for varied tours through the picturesque winter landscape of the Hochwald.
The dates for guided day or half-day tours will be announced in advance on the Tourist Information website, depending on suitable snow conditions. Prior registration is absolutely necessary.
Duration: 3 or 7 hours.
Cost: 10 or 15 euros per person, including rental fee for snowshoes and poles.
Sturdy footwear and weatherproof clothing are required.
