The former park of the company Schank is the green oasis in the middle of Emmelshausen. Located directly at the "Center at the Park", it invites you to linger with a beer garden and a small café. Whether having a picnic on the lawns while the little ones entertain themselves at the adjacent playground or simply resting on a park bench.
The playground in the city park is for young and old: The toddler area (up to about 5 years) has modern play equipment that is arranged as an extension directly to the existing playground at ZAP. This includes, among other things, a mini nest swing, a whisper flower, and a large wooden locomotive designed and manufactured specifically for the city of Emmelshausen with many exciting functions. The locomotive is meant to symbolize the direct connection and reference to our active train station as the historical nucleus of the city of Emmelshausen. For older children (6 to 12 years), in addition to other attractive equipment, there is an almost 8.50m high climbing pyramid, the so-called 'Spider 8 net pyramid', which is certainly the most visible highlight of the playground. For the first time, various calisthenics for teenagers and adults are also available in Emmelshausen. Calisthenics, also known as street workout, are exercises using one's own body weight and equipment such as bars, poles, or rings. The calisthenics park is a perfect alternative for anyone who enjoys exercising and training with equipment. Strength and endurance training like in the gym, but outdoors.
