STUMM-Stube

The small rustic STUMM-Stube was established in 2006 by the presbytery of the Sulzbach parish to appropriately honor the work of the famous organ builder family STUMM in Sulzbach.

Initially, historical photos and documents as well as tools from the STUMM organ builder family were displayed in a side room of the Protestant church hall "STUMM-Stube".
The first exhibits were provided by the STUMM organ association from its collection. Over the past few years, the collection has been gradually expanded with additional objects.

In addition, the Sulzbach local history and beautification association began a few years ago to highlight the memory of the organ builder family with information boards at the corresponding residences and workplaces in the village. An information board regarding the signage of the respective houses is located further along the STUMM organ path at the "STUMM-Platz" on the street "Zum Hügel".

In 2010, the presbytery decided to expand and relocate the STUMM-Stube to the former caretaker's apartment on the first floor of the building.

The last organ built by Johann Michael STUMM was dedicated to his home parish of Sulzbach. The Protestant parish of Sulzbach offers tours of this organ combined with a guided visit to the houses that shaped the life of the artist and craftsman.
